INTEREST AREAS
Dr. Alouini's research interests include the design and performance analysis of wireless communication systems. He has received several awards for both his research and teaching work.

  • Statistical characterization and modeling of fading channels
  • Performance analysis of diversity combining techniques, MIMO, multi-hop, and cooperative communications systems
  • Capacity and outage analysis of multiuser wireless systems subject to interference and/or jamming
  • Design and performance evaluation of multi-resolution, hierarchical, and adaptive modulation schemes
